Description:Buffet - 5:30 PM Doors Open - 6:30 PM Written by AU senior, Clarence Cabanero, "Bayan Ko" explores the religious and political tensions in Mindanao, the southern region of the Philippines. A classic love story and dramatic retelling of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front movement, our upcoming Culture Night will speak to a tumultuous period in Filipino history. Featuring traditional Filipino dances by and solo musical performances by Ms. Tolentino, Ms. Divinagracia, Ms.Teston and Mr. Camarungan, this unique student production showcases American University's diverse talents. Additionally, a portion of our profits will be sent to Books for the Barrios, a non-profit organization that helps to build libraries in impoverished areas of the Philippines.
